Foreign policy journalist at “Politika” daily (Belgrade, Serbia), Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society of Great Britain, philosopher by education, I am for decades, devoted to following and studying the turmoils of the current geopolitical world order.
Present at Mr. Nelson Mandela’s presidential inauguration in Pretoria in 1994. and reporting for more than 10 years from Zimbabwe on turbulences throughout Africa, I picked up a passion for tracing and researching on geopolitical signals of the new world order emerging. It brought me, later to write extesively about global financial crisis exploding in 2008, and later among other topics, on OPEC metamorphosis since 2016, European migrants and energy crises, “Nord Stream 2” drama, up to nowadays new era of Mr. Donald Trump’s presidency of the USA.
Guest lecturer on several occasions at The Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade on the Master studies Programme of Peace Studies, on The Causes of Conflicts in Africa, I lectured, inter alia on the future significance of DR Congo’s vast mineral resources, as well on the geopolitical dangers brewing in the Sahel region.
Strong interest for the trends within global oil and gas market, took me to participate at numerous international fora: World Economic Forum on the Middle East and North Africa in Marrakesh (Morocco) i 2010, The UN Alliance of Civilzations in Doha (Qatar) in 2011, The Crans Montana Forum for Africa in Dakhla (Morocco) in 2017, The Delphi Economic Forum in Delphi (Greece) in 2018, Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Algiers (Algeria) in 2024.
Willing to reach to a new geographical horizons, I gave three lectures at The Annual International Conferences of the Royal Geographical Society of Great Britain. In 2019. on ” Societal challenges in the latest hunt for oil ‘elephants’ in Africa, and possible new communicational approach of oil majors”. In 2023 on the topic: ” If geographers become Ocean sailors“, and in 2024 on ” Mapping the Red Sea Houthi Menace’s risks“.
In 2024. I received The Charter of The Institute for International Politics and Economic in Belgrade, for longtime coopoeration.
